Amy L. (Lieder) McKillip, 43 years of age, and Braylee Jessmae McKillip, 13 years of age, both of Beatrice passed away unexpectedly.

Amy was born on October 22, 1980 in Greeley, Colorado to Loren and Cindy (Shoop) Lieder. Amy graduated from Rushville High School in 1999 and moved to Hay Springs to work as a CNA at Pioneer Manor for almost 6 years. In August of 2005, she moved to Beatrice and began working as a Medication Aide at the Good Samaritan Society until 2021. Amy was currently working as a Medication Aide at Cedarwood Assisted Living in Fairbury. She enjoyed fishing, horseback riding and time with friends.

Braylee was born on May 6, 2010 in Lincoln to Levi and Amy (Lieder) McKillip. She was currently in the 8th grade at Beatrice Middle School where she participated in track. Braylee was a member of 4-H and enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, camping, roller skating and arts and crafts.

Amy is survived by her son, Austin Raymer stationed at MacDill AFB in Tampa, Florida and currently deployed to Al Udied AB in Qatar; mother, Cindy Kelley and husband Scott of Rushville; father, Loren Lieder of Greeley, Colorado; sister, Misty Pascoe and husband Paul of Lincoln; niece, Haylee Pascoe; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roland and Pearl Shoop, Ray and Doloris Kelley, Hank and Margaret Lieder; and aunts, Ivy Avis, Terri Kelley, Nancy Parmenter and Carol Weiting.

Braylee is survived by her father, Levi McKillip of Beatrice; brother, Austin Raymer stationed at MacDill AFB in Tampa, Florida and currently deployed to Al Udied AB in Qatar; grandparents, Cindy and Scott Kelley of Rushville, Loren Lieder of Greeley, Colorado; and aunts and uncles, Ira and Brittany McKillip of Chadron, Amy and Dan Glasser of Arizona, Kandi and Steve Eckoff of McCook, Kristi and Robert Milsap of Grand Island, Misty and Paul Pascoe of Lincoln and Mike and Rebecca Edwards of Yutan. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dennis and Irene McKillip.

A joint memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, April 12, 2024 at St. John Lutheran Church in Beatrice with Rev. Dr. Renae Koehler officiating. The service will be live streamed on the church’s Facebook page. A family prayer service will be held at 2:45 PM on Friday at the church. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice in care of the mortuary. Condolences may be left online at www.harmanwrightmortuary.com.
