What are your favorite traditional archery website forums? i.e. recurves, longbows, etc
Thank you!

Good question, the few I've tried like tradgang and others don't seem to be very active. This site bushcraft has the most action I have found.

I haven't found many active dedicated traditional archery sites. Archery talk and rokslide both have quite a few traditional archers

I have found the website TradGang to be very informative. If it had not been for the archived info and discussion on TradGang I would have been lost while trying to learn about shooting recurves. It goes without saying though that BCUSA has great information on traditional archery

Depends a little on what aspect of trad archery you're drawn to. But, in general, I've been active on two for 10 years or so... Tradgang's a good quality site, though I must say the attitude of one or two of the moderators has been a put off for me over the years. The folks themselves are a good bunch. gradually spent more time on Leatherwall II (trying to make that a numeral 2). Both sites offer a wealth of knowledge and advice, with slightly different vibes.
If you're more oriented toward target archery, you might look at Archery Talk.

The Traditional board on AT is the only one I use these days although the same people frequent others like tradtalk.
Despite being a hardcore single stringer, I don't tend to like lots of the attitudes of "trad" types, so I like a more progressive approach to single string archery. Also, I've been on them boards for years so I know who's who and who knows what they're talking about.
I can't tolerate the trad police, so no tradgang for this guy.

My roommate is a traditional bowyer and I asked him. He sticks to the one that's with primitive archer magazine, but he said tradgang is decent and leatherwall is too.

Stickbow.com has a Leatherwall tab, decent active group if only a little dated format.
Traditional archery tab on archerytalk.com
Tradgang.com little slower and powwow tab is the main active one
Tradtalk.com lot of knowledgeable folks.
If you are just starting out, look for a copy of "shooting the stickbow." Will tell you everything you need to know about traditional and Olympic archery.

Been a member of Archery Talk for 17 Years?
Dropped all other sites long ago for their lack of _____ I will leave it at that.
Never have been impressed with them.
Viper and I have gone back for many many years. Both of us coached,
both of us did competition, and both of us ended up on AT. He has
also written a very good book too. Well worth the 20 dollars or so.
What you will learn on AT will surprise you probably. And what is against
a lot of archers, Shooting paper is the best way to learn the skill of Archery.
I don't post much anymore on the Traditional forum in AT. I got tired of
answering the same question over and over again, and I no longer shoot
because of an injury. But I will still visit and every once in a while offer
some info.

Stickbow Leatherwall, even though the site is dated (clumsy to load photos) I have learned more there than all of the others combined. I wanted to like Tradgang and have nothing against it other than the topics don’t change/update quickly enough to suit me.

This guy knows what's up!
Seriously, as uninspiring as punching paper might seem, the guys who push the envelope do so on paper circles.

I joined archery talk so I could try to buy a bow in the classifieds section but now I have to have a bunch of posts before I can even message the guy.

In the past I've spent a lot of time and bought/sold some bows and equipment on both Tradgang and Leatherwall II. More recently I just get my fix here. Pretty much got everything I need other than buying a few arrowmaking components every few years.

I was a member of primitive archer and the leather wall. It’s been many years since I have visited either one. I don’t miss them.
